I november og december har der været stille omkring hjemmesiden, da vi har
haft travlt med andre projekter. Der var ingen hvalpe i denne periode, så vi
benytte lejligheden til at bygge et nyt køkken som er specialindrettet til
også at kunne bruges af 25 hunde. Det var et kæmpe arbejde, men resultatet
blev fremragende, og det fungerer perfekt til både mennesker og hunde. På
arbejde har der været travlt med HUNDEWEB.DK, som skal være klar til
01.01.06. Prøv det selv - det er et super værktøj for alle hunde mennesker. |
We have not been updating the website very much in November and December,
because we have been very busy with other projects. We did not have any
litters in this period, so we used the time to build a completely new
kitchen, designed to also be used by 25 dogs. A big effort, but certainly
worth the result, because it works extremely well with both dogs and people.
On work I have been busy with HUNDEWEB.DK, a new website that contains
information on all pedigree dogs in Denmark. It is easy to work with even
though you don't understand Danish, so give it a try! |

De sidste to deltagere i "Avlshannen", Hearthbreaker og Handsome, har begge
fået deres HD-bedømmelser i denne uge (sidste diciplin i konkurrencen), som
var et rent "A" (bedste status) til begge. Hermed fastholdt Hearthbreaker
sin førerstilling, og har vundet konkurrencen. |
The last two contestants in "Avlshannen", Hearthbreaker and Handsome, both
got their hip score this week. They both got the score "A" (the best
status). This means that Heartbreaker kept his lead in the competition and
ended up as the winner of "Avlshannen". |

Beauty er nedkommet med 6 flotte hvalpe, og to af hvalpene har den sjældne
Lilac farve (Syren farvet). Derudover fik hun 3 blå/hvide hvalpe og 1 sort/hvid.
Nu havde vi ellers lige Danmarks eneste Lilac farvede Border Collie, men nu
begynder de jo at blive helt almindelige på disse kanter. |
Today Beauty decided to have her litter of Border
Collie puppies. She delivered 6 big and nice puppies of which two are of the
Lilac colour. She also had 3 blue/white puppies and one Black/white. Until
now we had the only Lilac Border Collie in Denmark, but now they seem to
have become quite commen around here. |

 Vi
har nu fået vores nye Ghostland hvalp, Ghostland Grace and Favour. Den har
en usædvanligt smuk mørk brun farve, som er tydeligt anderledes end de røde
Border Collier. Den vil kunne ses i baby klasse på Border Collie dagens
udstilling den 20. august. |

has a very beautiful dark brown coat, very different from the red Border

Vi har idag indgået aftale med TDC om levering af en 2 Mbit Pro@ccess fast-linie
internet forbindelse. Aftalen indebærer at TDC etablerer de fornødne flere
kilometer datakabel, der vil give os en fast opkobling direkte til
internettet - helt udenom de telefonlinier, ADSL forbindelser og internet
udbydere, som vi har haft så store problemer med. Den nye forbindelse, der
forventes i drift om ca. 5 uger, forøger vores effektive båndbredde med en
faktor 6 - 8, så vi fremover vil kunne levere 6 - 8 gange hurtigere/flere
billeder fra vores WebCams. Den stærkt forøgede båndbredde giver også
mulighed for at tilbyde helt nye services over nettet, og det glæder vi os
allerede nu til at kunne præsentere i August. |
Today we have reached an agreement with TDC (the largest phone company in
Denmark) about establishing a dedicated T1 internet connection from our
kennel. TDC has agreed to establish the necessary several kilometer long
data cable, that is needed to give us a direct connection to the internet,
eliminating the need for phone lines, ADSL connections and ISP. We hope that
the new connection will be operational 5 weeks from now, and it will
increase our bandwidth 6 - 8 times, enabling us to provide much better
pictures from our Webcams. The extra bandwidth will also make it possible
for us to introduce brand new types of web services, and we are looking
forward to introducing these in August. |

Bailey er nedkommet med 8 flotte hvalpe, og en af hvalpene har den sjældne

alle Border Colliens mange forskellige farver her på kennelen, bortset fra
Merle farverne (som vi ikke ønsker at have) og den Australske Røde (som vi
endnu har til gode). |
Today Bailey decided to have her litter of Border
Collie puppies. She delivered 8 big and nice puppies of which one is the
Lilac colour. With this addition, we can show all the different colors in
the breed here on the Kennel. The only colors we dont have are the Merle
colours (which we dont like) and the Australian Red Colour. |

Vores
ADSL internet forbindelse til kennelen har været ude af drift siden
onsdag d. 15 juni. Vores internet leverandør, Cybercity, kan (eller vil)
tilsyneladende ikke finde fejlen, så jeg frygter at forbindelsen vil være
ude af drift i ugevis, indtil der kan etableres en fast 2 Mbit linie hos TDC. De
som evt. måtte være kunder hos Cybercity bør tænke over, at Cybercity
tilsyneladende er fuldstændigt ligeglade med om deres forbindelser
fungerer eller ej. Vi beklager meget at vi pt. ikke kan levere live
billeder af hvalpene fra webkameraerne, men vi er ude af stand til selv at
gøre noget ved Cybercitys linieproblemer. |
Out
broadband internet connection has been out of order since wednesday the
15th of June. Our ISP, Cybercity, cannot or will not take any action to
solve the problems, so as it looks right now, we will not have any
internet connection for weeks, until TDC can establish a dedicated T1
connection for us. We know that there are many people around the world
that would like to see the live pictures of the puppies, and we are very
sorry that we cannot provide that service right now. However we cannot do
anything ourselves to fix the line problems, and we are trying very hard
to make the ISP live up to their obligations. |

Det har været en begivenhedsrig week-end, med udstilling i Hillerød, hvor
vores Handsome blev bedste Border Collie hvalp (igen), og fødsel af 2 kuld
hvalpe. Fancy's hvalpefødsel gik rigtig fint, men Elvira's fødsel havde
alvorlige problemer, fordi der var en meget stor hvalp som blokerede
forløbet. Det kunne være endt rent galt, men vi kan med tilfredshed
konstatere, at alle vores omhyggeligt udtænkte procedurer og
sikkerhedsforanstaltninger fungerede præcis som de skulle. Derfor kunne vi
være på forkant med situationen hele tiden, og sikre en god forløsning af
hvalpene, så både mor og alle hvalpe har det fint. |
This has also been a very busy week-end. We had a big international dog show
in our hometown, Hillerød, and our Handsome won best Border Collie puppy. We
also had two litter of puppies, from Fancy and Elvira. Fancy's whelping went
were well, but Elvira's whelping had serious problems due to a very big
puppy blocking things. It could have ended very badly, but our carefully
thought out procedures and precautions worked exactly as they should in a
crisis situation like that. So we were able to stay on top of things, and
make sure that the puppies were delivered safely so both the bitch and the
puppies came through in good condition. |

Fancy, Elvira og Bailey er fulde af hvalpe og nu er det ved at være tid for
deres nedkomster. Hvalperummene er skurede og skrubbede og alting er klar
til at fødselerne kan gå igang. Da disse fødseler vil ske med blot nogle få
dages mellemrum, så har hver tæve på forhånd fået tildelt sit eget hvalperum

Fancy, Elvira and Bailey are all full of puppies, so it is almost time for
the whelpings now. The puppy rooms are thoroughly cleaned and everything is
ready for the whelpings to begin. Since these whelping will take place only
a few days apart, each bitch has been designated her own room for the
whelping and caring of the puppies. Follow the news about the whelpings on

Det var med stor glæde og stolthed, at Kennel Blue Border modtog meddelelse
om, at H.K.H. Kronprins Frederik og H.K.H. Kronprinsesse Mary ønskede af få
en Border Collie hvalp fra Kennel Blue Border som deres nye familiehund. Det
er Dansk Kennel Klub, der forærede Kronprinseparret en hvalp i bryllupsgave,
og da Kronprinseparret valgte, at hvalpen skulle være en brun/hvid Border
Collie faldt valget på ”Blue Borders Jezabel”. Kronprinseparret fik overrakt
deres nye hundehvalp i april. Læs mere og se billeder

Kennel Blue Border is very proud to announce that His Royal Highness Crown
Prince Frederik of Denmark and his wife Her Royal Highness Crown Princess
Mary has chosen a Border Collie puppy from our kennel as their new family
dog. The puppy is a wedding present from the Danish Kennel Club to the royal
couple, and since the royal couple wanted a brown Border Collie puppy, Blue
Borders Jezabel was chosen. The puppy moved in at the royal castle in
Fredensborg in April, and has already appeared on the cover of Danish weekly
magazines.

så fødestuen (hvalperum 1) er klar til Adorable's hvalpekuld. Darlings
hvalpe har fået øjne nu, og er begyndt at være meget mere aktive. |
Darling has moved to puppy room 2 with her puppies, so that
puppy room 1 can be ready to Adorable's whelping. darlings puppies have
opened their eyes now, and are much more active, almost able to walk around. |

resultat. Skanningen er lavet på et meget tidligt tidspunkt, og kan derfor
kun vise at Candy bærer på mindst 2 hvalpe. |

puppies. The scan has been done very early in the pregnancy, and could only
show that Candy had at least 2 puppies (more are expected). |

Fordi Blue Border ligger så langt ude på landet, har der
været hyppige problemer med udfald på internet forbindelselsen / visning fra
webkameraer. Lige nu er forbindelsen igen ustabil, og den er desværre droslet ned
til 1/3 af den 1,5 Mbit hastighed som jeg burde have. |
Because Blue Border is located so far out in the country
side, the internet and web cam connections have experienced frequent drop
outs in the connection. The connection is currently not very stable, and only on 1/3 of the 1.5 Mbit speed the connection should be
running. |
