19.06.05	Som forudsagt begyndte Bailey sin hvalpefødsel sidst på eftermiddagen. Det var svært for Bailey at føde den første hvalp, så det tog mere end 4 timer før den blev født. Så kom resten af hvalpene stille og roligt i løbet af natten, så den 8. og sidste hvalp blev født kl. 7 om morgenen. Hvalpene er sunde, friske og i god form - vi andre er møg trætte!	As we predicted, Bailey started her whelping late Sunday afternoon. It was hard for her to whelp the first puppy, so it took more than 4 hours for the puppy to be born. Then the rest of puppies was born during the night, with the 8th and last puppy being born at 7 am in the morning. The puppies are fine and doing well - the rest of us are very tired!

17.06.05	Vi beklager den manglende opdatering i nogle dage. Det skyldes, som omtalt andetsteds, vores store problemer med internet linien og CyberCity. 12.06.05	Elvira's fødsel startede som planlagt søndag formiddag, men fødselen gik meget trægt, også efter behandling og stimulering af tæven. Da der efter 5 timer stadig kun var kommet 2 hvalpe, besluttede vi, i samråd med kennelen faste dyrlæge Finn Boserup, at foretage kejsersnit for at sikre kvaliteten af de resterende hvalpe. Tak til Finn Boserup for at åbne klinikken en søndag eftermiddag, og med sikker hånd at forløse de resterende 3 Elvira hvalpe. Slutresultatet var 5 flotte og sunde hvalpe.	Elvira's whelping stated as planned on Sunday mid-morning, but the whelping went very slow. Despite efforts with medical treatment and stimulation of the bitch, there was still only 2 puppies after 5 hour. After consulting out usual vet, we decided to do a caesarean to make sure that the rest of the puppies would be OK. We thank our vet Finn Boserup for opening his clinic on a Sunday afternoon, and safely delivering the remaining 3 puppies. We ended up with 5 nice and healthy puppies.

06.06.05	Der vil kun blive et par få dage mellem Fancy, Elvira og Baileys fødsler. Så i stedet for at føde i det særlige føderum (hvalperum 1), og så bagefter flytte til et andet hvalperum, så har vi besluttet at lade hver tæve have sit eget hvalperum at føde og opholde sig i. Elvira har fået hvalperum 1, Fancy hvalperum 2 og Bailey hvalperum 3.	The whelping from Fancy, Elvira and Bailey will only be a few days apart. So instead of whelping in the special wheping room and then moving to another bpuppy afterwards, we have decided to designate a puppy room to each bitch from the beginning. Elvira gets puppy room 1, Fancy gets puppy room 2 and Bailey gets puppy room 3.
05.06.05	Nu er der en uge til at fødslerne forventes at gå i gang. I følge Blue Borders kvalitetsprogram skal alting nu være i orden til fødslerne. Hvalperummene er skurede og skrubbede, og alt udstyret nyvasket. Til hvert hvalperum hører der en stor fødekasse med 3 sæt tykt hvalpeunderlag samt en kurv til moderen med tilsvarende underlag. Sættene fra hvert hvalperum er forskellige, så de ikke blandes sammen. Efter brug vaskes disse underlag i vores industri vaskemaskine på 60 grader, så den høje hygiejne opretholdes.	Now there is only a week to the expected whelpings. According to our breeding quality program, everything has to be ready for the whelpings now. The puppy rooms have been thoroughly cleaned and all the bedding washed. Each puppy room has a large puppy box with 3 sets of bedding, and the bitch has a seperate basket also with 3 sets of bedding. The sets from each puppy room are different, so they dont get mixed up. After use they are washed on 60 degress in our industrial washing machine, so they are totally clean.
